In relation to the SSAI congress in Oslo in June, anesthesiologists specializing in obstetric anesthesia had their final gathering after a 3-year program. It was an honour to be invited to give a workshop in the use of external aortic compression in the management of PPH. Maarten Glas, who had his first publication on the subject in 2007 and has been teaching external aortic compression for years while working for MSF, came all the way from the Netherlands to run the workshop together with ExAC. Thanks to the faculty for inviting a former student.
