Training of clinicians in Boston

On March 27, ExAC shared insights on external aortic compression and gave a lecture and a hands-on training session at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

CEO of ExAC, Grethe Heitmann, was invited by Michaela K. Farber, Associate Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School and Chief of the Division of Obstetric Anesthesia at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was introduced to the ExAC Trainer while visiting Sweden in 2024 and extended an invitation to Dr. Heitmann, recognizing the potential of external aortic compression and the ExAC Trainer.

The warm reception and engagement from the Boston medical community were truly inspiring. We look forward to continued collaboration and believe this marks the beginning of a long-term effort to enhance awareness of external aortic compression in the United States.
