Dr. Annette Aronsson from WHO used the ExAC Trainer when teaching the management of PPH to healthcare personnel at Mbarara Referral Hospital, Mubende Referral Hospital and St.Francis Hospital Nsambya in Uganda.
After a short presentation of post partum haemorrhage, the healthcare workers were trained to perform external aortic compression as their primary action when recognizing a patient with PPH.
All present doctors, midwives and midwifery students performed external aortic compression on the ExAC Trainer.
For some it was the first time the hear about external aortic compression - for others an eye opener on how to perform it correctly.
