Østfold hospital trust, with about 2800 deliveries a year, implemented external aortic compression about 5 years ago as a standard maneuver in treatment of severe PPH.
Every year the employees at the birth clinic trains on different obstetric emergency situations. In March this year 120 midwifes and birth assistants trained on external aortic compression using the ExAC Trainer.
