Reduction of PPH at Sahlgrenska University Hospital

In December 2023 Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Sweden had a major focus on postpartum haemorrhage with a repetition of the hospital protocol for management of PPH.

Practicing external aortic compression on the ExAC Trainer was one of several steps to combat a high incidence of sever PPH (> 1000ml).

In the following months, the incidence of PPH after vaginal delivery declined from 10,2 in December 2023 to 8,4 in January 2024.
