A research project on the implementation on external aortic compression in Ethiopia has now been initiated. So far about 250 midwives and obstetricians have been trained, using the ExAC Trainers, in four teaching hospitals in Addis Ababa, St. Paul's Hospital Millennium Medical College, Tikur Anbessa Specialized Hospital, Ghandi Memorial Hospital and Zewditu Memorial Hospital.
The project is a cooperation between Bethlehem Shiferaw Loulseged MD, Assistant professor, Addis Ababa University, Ann-Chatrin Linqvist Leonardsen, Professor, Østfold University College and ExAC.
